The race for the Mityana South Parliamentary seat takes a new twist as youthful NUP mobilizer in greater Mityana Kintu Freddie Grace declares to oust DP’s Richard Lumu come 2026.

A reliable source from Mityana informs Whisper Eye News that, residents in the constituency are welcoming Mr Kintu claiming that the incumbent MP, Mr Lumu has failed to deliver their voices in the eleventh parliament.

On Easter Sunday Mr Kintu gave out five bulls and four goats to the winners of his Mega Mityana South Constituency Easter Tournament.

Busunju sub-County ended the day with two cows and one goat after winning the tournament’s football and net ball, together with trophies and medals.

The event was graced by the National Youth Leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), who is also the area MP for the Mityana municipality constituency, who requested residents to trust NUP and embrace change in Uganda.

The Deputy Spokesperson of NUP Waisswa Mufumbiro, also attended the event, where he applauded Mr Kintu for the great mobilisation.

Waisswa argued residents to vote for NUP and embrace young energetic leaders, referring to Kintu Freddie Grace as among those leaders to lead this generation.

MP Richard Lumu told his supporters that, he is being fought by Mityana tycoon Butebi the father of Mityana municipality MP Francis Zaake ‘Butebi’, and warned them to fight back.
