Early last month of June, the president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni appointed Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago deputy Hajjat Sarah Kanyike as the director of Gender, community and production to Kampala Capital City Authority.

According to a reliable source close to Uganda’s Parliament, the president made a U-turn and appointed Hajjat Sarah as a minister of state for Disability and Elderly.

The new appointment letter has been a shock to the public, the first appointment was worthy a five-year contract with immense opportunities compared to the new one.

It is now just few months to the general elections, which dictates that around June next year 2021, there will be a new cabinet after the general elections.

A reliable source intimate to Parliament told Whisper Eye that Hajjat Sarah Kanyike was fought by a section of State House workers, including members of the first family to loose the first appointment.

And it is this reason that experienced Museveni had to fix the hardworking and dependable leader some where.

Hajjat Sarah is to face the Appointment Committee in the Parliament on Tuesday 28th, 2020 at 9:30 am.

In June the president made changes in the KCCA, thus appointing
four other directors; Ms Kasaka Dorothy as the Executive Director (ED), Eng David Luyimbazi Ssali as the Deputy ED, Dr Okello Ayen David Director Public health and Environment and Ms Grace Akullo Director, Human Resource and Administration.
