Covid-19: Uganda cases hit 665 as 8 test positive

Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced 8 new COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of confirmed cases to 665. Whisper Eye Reports

All the new cases are truck drivers and alerts and contacts of the same. a statement reads from the ministry.

Whisper Eye has learnt that 3 new cases are Truck drivers who arrived via Elegu, 1 via Mutukula and 4 cases are contacts and alerts from Amuru ,Kayunga and Kyotera district.

The country health ministry, in its daily update this morning of Wednesday confirmed these new rising covid-19 cases.

All contact positive cases are under Quarantine, the ministry confirmed.

Uganda now has 665 covid-19 cases since march.

Uganda also handed over 31 positive foreign truck drivers to their respective countries .

Uganda has now registered 119 recoveries according to the ministry of health with no reports of death.

Malaba, Busia and Mutukula border points turn out to be the most risky areas as far as Covid-19 is concerned.
