Ssembabule ballot box accountability by Nina Kankunda (NINA ROZ)Lwemiyaga county

1: Bulongo Sub County, Kabukongote Parish at Kyembogo Dam Both Seals were locked independently without closing the ballot box, these are Seal 1: EC 1847199, and seal 2: EC 1847200.

These were replaced with a new seal EC 2500668.

2: In Bulongo sub county, Karushonshomezi parish; the ballot box of Migina Life was broken this was seal 1: EC 1847159, and this was replaced by a new seal number EC 2500669

3: In Lwemiyaga sub county, Lwemibu Parish, one seal of the ballot box of Lwemibu Play Ground was broken: number EC 1846599 and was replaced with EC 2500670.Mawogola West county

1. In Lwebitakuli Sub County, Nankondo Parish, the ballot box of Kitongole Full Gospel Church polling station numbered EC 1853700 was broken and Replaced with EC 2500662, and the ballot box of Kiteredde Baptist school polling station numbered EC 1853620 was broken, replaced with EC 25006612.

In Nakasenyi Sub County, Nakasenyi Parish, the ballot box of Kikondeka East at Mr Ndede’s Compound Polling station numbered EC 1854560 was broken, replace with Seal EC 25006713.

In Lwebitakuli sub County, Kasambya Parish, the ballot box of Mpumudde Trading centre polling station, one of the two seals numbered EC 1853479 and EC 1853480 was broken replaced with 2500662.Mawogola North county 1.

In Mijwala Sub County, Kidokolo Parish, the ballot box of Kidokolo Primary School numbered EC 1852339, replaced with 2500676.2.

In Lugusuulu Sub County, Kaberekeera Parish, the ballot box of Kabarekeera Primary School (Kyon -Z) Polling station seal numbered EC 1850579 was broken replaced with EC 2500680.

And in Kabarekeera Parish, the ballot box of Kashongoirwe church seal numbered EC 1850539 was broken replaced with EC 2500677.3.

In Kawanda Sub County, Kasongi Parish, the ballot box of Nakasagazi Trading Centre ballot box seal numbered EC 1850980 was broken, replaced with EC 25006654.

In Mabindo Sub County, Kikoma Parish, the ballot box of Kikoma Primary School (A-Nalal) Polling station seal, numbered EC 1851659 was broken, replaced with EC 2500675Mawogola County 1.

In Mitete Sub County, Kasambya Parish both seals of Kibengo Primary School has different seal codes ( EC 2500655 & EC 2500656) from others in the Parish, (EC 1849) which calls for further investigations.

2. In Nakasenyi Sub County, Nakasenyi Parish, the ballot box of Nakasenyi Full Gospel Church seal recorded on the EC parking list numbered (EC 1854900) was different from the actual seal on the ballot box as per our team (EC 1854500) which caused suspicion among the contestants.

3. In Mateete Sub County, Kayunga Parish, the ballot box of Mirambi Primary School seal numbered EC 1848839, replaced with EC 2500673.

4. In Mateete Town Council, Kiwumulo Ward, the ballot box of Kiwumulo Market (A-NAKAY) Polling station seal was broken, replaced with EC 2500674 We have observed: that; the EC created more Polling station which is not the challenge, but the real challenge is someone these Polling stations are in people’s homes and farms which is questionable.

That; the handling and assembling of ballot boxes by the EC was not good at all, and we demand accountability on the broken seals.

That; 15 ballot boxes out of 431 boxes had issues with seals which our team of experts observed together with the EC officials in Ssembabule district.

Our team is investigating on more 20 ballot boxes to ensure that the voice of the people of Ssembabule overcome oppressors.
