NUP Vice President for Western Region, Jolly Mugisha, Passes Away

In a deeply sorrowful development, the National Unity Platform (NUP) has lost one of its key leaders, Ms. Jolly Mugisha, the party’s Vice President for the Western region. Ms. Mugisha passed away this afternoon at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where she had been receiving treatment for an illness over the past two weeks.

Ms. Mugisha was a pivotal figure in the NUP, playing an instrumental role in advancing the party’s objectives and representing the Western region’s interests. Her dedication to political activism and her community endeared her to many, making her a respected and admired leader.

Over the last two weeks, Ms. Mugisha had been battling a severe illness, which led to her hospitalization at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital. Despite receiving medical care, her condition deteriorated, leading to her untimely demise today.

The passing of Ms. Mugisha is a significant loss not only to the NUP but also to the broader Ugandan political landscape. Her efforts in promoting democratic values and advocating for the rights of her constituents will be remembered as part of her enduring legacy.

The National Unity Platform and its supporters mourn the loss of a passionate leader whose contributions have left a lasting impact. As the party and her family come to terms with this profound loss, many have taken to social media and other platforms to express their condolences and honor her memory.
