The Sunday evening deadly road crash along Pakwach-Nebbi highway in Pakwach district has left two people dead on spot.
The deceased are Brian Ocircan, a teacher at Alwi Seed secondary school and his wife Anet Ocircan both residents of Akella trading centre, Pakwach sub county Pakwach district.
The two travelling on a Bajaj Motorcycle with reg. no. UGA 864K, were reportedly knocked dead from behind by by a speeding pickup truck with registration number UAT 759D from Nebbi enroute to Kampala along Nebbi-Pakwach road at Ondir in Alwi Sub-county, according to Pakwach traffic police department.

Robert Omito Steen, chairperson LCV Pakwach district who swiftly rushed to the scene, blames the vehicle driver over reckless driving and over speeding notwithstanding the ongoing police operations on the roads in the area.
He also appealed to drivers to respect the lives of other road users.
By press time, the bodies were conveyed for autopsy at Pakwach Health center IV whilst the unidentified driver had reported the case to Pakwach Police station, which are yet to issue a statement on the incident.
The incident brings to three the total number of lives lost to road crashes within the month of August in Pakwach district alone.
Recently, traffic police released a damming report indicating that in the month of July; at least 81 people were killed in road crashes in one week across the country.
