SPA Ruth Katushabe earthquakes Nakasongola at Kalongo Sacco AGM

The Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs and Translations Hon Katushabe Ruth was on 27th/April/2024 the Chief Guest at the Annual General Meeting event of Kalongo Rural Development Sacco in Nakasongola District on invite by the area MP Hon Noah Mutebi Wanzala.

The event that took place at the Sub-county headquarters was organized by the Kalongo Rural Development Sacco as part of its strategy to assess its performance, set new goals and appraise its members in line with its future goals.

At the event, the Senior Presidential Advisor was tasked by the area MP Hon Mutebi Noah Wanzala to remind the President of Uganda Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to fullfill the promise he made to the people of Nakasongola to tarmac the Zirobwe-Kalongo-Nakasongola road as they have been anxiously waiting since 2012.

Hon Noah however told his residents that even though the President has not yet delivered as promised, they should be grateful for the so many things he as done for them like the prevailing peace and security that had enhanced economic development, the Parish Development Model cash that has enabled farmers to start commercialized agriculture among others.

This media has also learnt that through Hon Alice Kaboyo the Luwero Triangle Minister, government contributed shs.20 millions to Kalongo Development Sacco to enhance its operations.

In her Speech, Hon Katushabe Ruth the Senior Presidential Advisor commended the members of the sacco and Nakasongola residents at large for embracing President Museveni’s message of social economic transformation. She said that the results are visible that the people of Nakasongola understood the President words of social economic development with their Sacco being a perfect example of an organized group of people with a vision.

At the same event, Hon Katushabe used the opportunity to thank the people of greater Luweero for their contribution to the liberation struggle between 1981 to 1986 and for always supporting the NRM since then to date. She asked them to keep voting for NRM at all levels of the political leadership adding that the Museveni led party is the only tested party that has proved and showcased the capacity to serve the people of Uganda diligently.

Hon Katusahe also told the members and other residents of Nakasongola that President Museveni the vision bearer will soon fulfill his pledge of tarmacking the Zirobwe-Kolongo-Nakasongola road. She said she will do the needful to keep remind him about the road just as the citizens demand.

“As you know politics and economics move hand in hand, as his Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs I will remind him about this road he promised to tarmack. Your contribution to the liberation struggle can never go unnoticed.” She said

At the same event, Hon Katushabe thanked the residents for trusting Hon Mutebi Noah Mutebi to be their area MP adding that they were spot on because she knows him as a very hardworking man who is always thinking on how best he can serve his people. She asked the people to vote for him again in 2026 since he is NRM and so hardworking.

Hon Katushabe also made handsome contribution to Kalongo Development Sacco towards the construction of the SACCO block that will house its offices and bank.

At the event, Kalongo Development Sacco also awarded gifts to its best performing members in appreciation for their good work.
