The office of the president headed by Milly Babirie Babalanda has finally completed the construction of their offices in the Nebbi Municipality Nebbi district west Nile region. #WhisperEyeNews
The modern magnificent building awaiting commissioning is situated in Mission Cell Central Ward Nebbi municipality and is designed to house all the presidency offices, especially the resident district commissioner’s office, Deputy resident district commissioner’s office and the district Internal security officer DISO and the Gombolola internal security officer among others.
The Resident district commissioner Nebbi Robert Abak, says the ministry of the presidency earmarked shilling 700 million for this project adding that the contractor Zawaidi Construction Company delivered the work in four months.
Abak thanked the Nebbi district council for allocating the land for the president’s offices and commended the neighborhoods for providing a conducive atmosphere to constructors adding they provided security for building materials.
He says the only work left is fencing, paving and beautification of the compound.
The structure sits on slightly more than an acre and the RDC said they have acquired the land title.
This according to the RDC will save the office of the president from the expenditures of shs 2 million for rental per month.
Meanwhile, the Zombo district LC V James Uyullu Uruna has appealed to the office of the president to consider allocating funds for building the president’s offices in Zombo respectively.
Uruna revealed that the council has already identified a piece of land which will accommodate the offices of the president within the Zombo town council.
He applauded the cooperation between Nebbi district leaders and the resident district commissioner office adding that other districts will learn from this.
