Mixed reactions as Oyam district RDC William Komakec transferred

Speaking to our news reporter at his office yesterday William Komakec the Resident District Commissioner of Oyam district confirmed the development saying he got his transfer letter on Tuesday this week to go and serve as the Resident City Commissioner of RCC of Arua City where he has been replaced with the current RCC of Arua City Alice Akello. #WhisperEyeNews

Komakec further said this is a normal transfer that should not surprise anybody urging the people of Oyam district to cooperate with the incoming RDC for effective service delivery however he also says Arua people should team up with him so that the development plan be realised

Despite the fact that this is the normal transfer some locals who still wanted the service of Mr Komacec in Oyam regretted why the office of the president has transferred William Komakec at the time that Oyam district needed him most describing it as an untimely transfer.

Joseph Ayo is one of the locals living in Teduka cell western ward at Oyam town council who is not happy with the transfer of William Komakec saying he was a peace builder who is known in his fights against wetland encroachment setting an example that a week ago Komakec William suspended all activities in Aburacailon B village in Ngai sub-county upon learning that over 500 hectares of Wetlands in that village was encroached for rice productions

Ayo further expressed his fear that with the transfer of RDC Komakec, he is suspecting that the rate of Wetlands degradation will go high.

Meanwhile, Sam Otia the Lc1 chairman of IPukica village in Acaba sub-County Oyam district described Komakec William as a humble, hard-working, and servant leader whose fight against corruption is undoubted adding that Komakec will still be remembered for years  in Oyam district.

However he ask minister of presidency to turn down that transfer since Mr Komakec is still needed most.

Similarly, Benson Walter Dila Oyuku the Lc5 chairman of Oyam district is among the people who are not happy with the transfer of William Komakec saying Komakec was just brought to Oyam district in March this year hoping that he would still deliver a lot in Oyam.

According to Dila Komakec is an experience resident district commissioner in the history of Oyam  who is leaving a legacy of uniting leaders in Oyam district together.

The transfer of William Komakec is coming after a period of only six months that he had served as the resident district commissioner of Oyam district meanwhile the incoming RDC of Oyam district is coming following the recent demand by the Arua City councillors to have her transferred over allegation of corruption miseuse of office and selfishness.
