Two unknown Gunmen armed with one SMG and a pistol reportedly robbed Judith Anguko, a mobile money operator at Mvara Zambia Zone in Arua city. #WhisperEyeNews
The incident police say occurred on October 17, at around 1800hrs at Mvara_Zambia Zone when the victim was close to her home.
The unknown gunmen reportedly fired 1 bullet and robbed her Ugx 90 million including 4 phones and a laptop before making off to an unknown destination.
After police were alarmed, They visited and documented the crime scene, exhibited one cartridge at the crime scene, recorded statements and opened up a case of aggravated Robbery under CBR 921/2023.
“Two unknown gunmen armed with one SMG and a pistol put her under gunpoint, they fired one bullet and robbed her cash worth 90 million, 04 phones and a laptop. After which they fled off to an unknown direction.
Upon getting information, police acted by opening a case file of Aggravated Robbery, they visited and documented the scene, exhibited one cartridge recovered from the scene and recorded relevant statements. No arrest made yet. Inquiries continue under Arua Central Business Division CRB 921/2023.” The West Nile regional Police spokesperson Josephine Angucia said in a statement.
She also “appeals to members of the public who have information about this incident to share it with police so as to recover the deadly weapon which is in the wrong hands, and apprehend the perpetrators to face justice”.
Cases of thugs targeting mobile money operators have become rife all over the country and police always advise the operators to close early.
