Man killed and dumped next to his home

Community of mundel parish in Nyapea Sub county Zombo District were up to a rude awakening experience ,  after the  body of a man believed to be in his 40s was discovered dumped  just 200 metres away from his home.

The deceased has been identified as Thomas Wanadi, A resident of Patek west village,mundel parish Nyapea Sub County.

The area councillor of Mundel parish and also the speaker of Nyapea Sub county said they visited the scene together with officers from Nyapea police post after getting information from the area LC1 Chairperson.

He added that preliminary findings indicates that the deceased was reportedly Murdered by unkown assailants before calling for calm amongst family members.

“His body was discovered just 200kms away from his home, the LC1 chairperson reported to me and we involved police, it looks like he was Murdered and dumped there” Odongo told the whispereye news.

Other sources say the deceased  “was embroiled in serious land conflict with his relatives”.

His body was handed back to the family members as Police launched inquest.

Early this year, a man was reportedly killed in Patek east village  in the same parish  of Mundel and his body was later discovered in an unfinished pit latrine.

This come in the wake of hike in murder cases across the greater Nebbi Sub Region.
