Authorities in Mukono District are on the hunt for a woman accused of engaging in an illegal same-sex relationship and abducting her own children under highly suspicious circumstances. The suspect, Nansamba Patricia, a resident of Kikubankima, Namubiru Parish, Nama Sub-County, is now a fugitive after she was allegedly caught red-handed in a romantic affair with another woman, identified as Flavia.
According to reports, Patricia’s secret affair was exposed on the night of August 8, 2023, when her husband’s sister unexpectedly entered her house and discovered her in an intimate act with Flavia. Shocked by the immoral scene, the sister immediately ran out and reported the matter to the police, setting off a series of events that have left the entire village in outrage.
What has made the situation even worse is that Patricia fled the home in the dead of night, taking the couple’s children with her without the husband’s consent. The incident has angered the community, with many calling for her to be brought to justice without mer
Patricia now faces the full wrath of Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act, which is one of the strictest laws against same-sex relationships in the world. Under this law, individuals who engage in same-sex acts can face life imprisonment, and in cases considered “aggravated homosexuality”, offenders can be sentenced to death.
With Patricia’s actions classified as aggravated due to her status as a mother and her attempt to involve children in her reckless lifestyle, legal experts warn that she could be sentenced to death if arrested and convicted.
The Ugandan government has made it clear that homosexuality is a serious crime, considered a threat to cultural values, the moral fabric of the nation, and the future of children. Authorities have vowed to crack down on individuals who promote or engage in such illegal activities, promising no leniency for offen
Residents of Kikubankima, Namubiru Parish have expressed deep shock and disgust over the incident, calling Patricia’s actions a betrayal of her family and society. “This is an abomination. A married woman, a mother, running away with another woman instead of respecting her marriage? She must be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” one elder said.
The husband’s relatives are particularly furious, not only because Patricia engaged in an unlawful and immoral act, but also because she took the children without permission, putting them in a potentially harmful environment. They have called on the police to arrest her immediately and ensure that the children are rescued from her influence before they are exposed to further corruption and moral dec
Law enforcement authorities in Mukono have launched a manhunt for Patricia and her accomplice, Flavia. Police have urged anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward, warning that shielding them could result in serious legal consequences.

“We are treating this matter with the urgency it deserves. Anyone found aiding or hiding these fugitives will face criminal charges. We urge the public to report any sightings of the suspects immediately,” a police spokesperson stated.
Meanwhile, religious leaders and cultural elders have condemned the act, emphasizing the importance of upholding traditional values and urging parents to closely monitor their children to prevent them from being influenced by such immoral behaviors.
As authorities close in on Patricia, her case serves as a harsh warning to those who might be tempted to violate Uganda’s laws and cultural values. If convicted, she could pay the ultimate price for her actions, sending a strong message to anyone else who dares to defy the law.
For now, the hunt for Patricia continues, but one thing is certain—justice will be served.
