Man dies after sniffing aviation fuel

A Man has died after reportedly consuming a high dosage of aviation fuel in Zombo District. #WhisperEyeNews

Believe to be in his 20s, The deceased has been only identified as Reagan,  A resident of Alengukuma Cell, Central Ward Paidha Town Council Zombo District.

His close friends say he would spend much time consuming the substance and this made him addicted.

He ” developed complications and was admitted and he died there” at Angal Hospital in Nebbi District. A friend who preferred anonymity said.

The LC1 chairperson of Alengukuma Cell Central Ward Paidha Town Council Haruna Anegu confirmed the incident adding, he caution him several times but to no avail.

He cautioned other youth involved in the practice to desist from the act.

” That man died after he was referred to The hospital, Consumption of aviation fuel was his practice, he developed complications and died, other youth should learn from that”.

Aviation fuel consumption is a common practice in the border   Town of Paidha.

It’s common amongst street kids and it’s not clear how kids between 7-14 years get easy access to the Substance.
