They were rescued by the community of Pujwang at the Pujwang landing site in Amor
East Ward Pakwach town council.
The LC3 chairperson of Pakwach town council Patrick Warom commended members of the public for responding on time to save lives.
He also reminded locals about the rampant movement of stray animals from the river Nile and Murchison falls national park.
” I would like to thank the community of Pujwang that really helped us rescue one Ongom who got attacked by the hippo as they were crossing the River with his son. The animals have become rampant, we should be vigilant but let’s not kill the animals, we should instead lias with UWA to see how we can co_exist with animals”, Warom Said.
