The Archbishop of the church of Uganda Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, has called upon believers in Nebbi Diocese to desist from acts that are springboards to homosexuality in the church.
Speaking after his heroic welcome at St Stephen’s cathedral Goli on the 30th of this June, The Archbishop has urged believers against the act noting that the act is ungodly.
He rallied evangelists in Africa to now embark on the process of taking the gospel outside the continent.
” We have people who are following the wrong thing. They are saying, I’m a man, let me marry a man, I’m a woman, let’s marry a woman, that is wrong, if cockroaches, chickens, goats etc cannot do that, why should we do that” He said amidst jubilation from the massive crowd that gathered to listen to him.
Archbishop Kazimba has been issuing myriad statements against the promotion of homosexuality that goes against the decision of the church of England that are in full support of the acts of homosexuality.
Recently, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni okayed the contentious anti_ homosexuality bill into an act that has a barrage of punishments that amongst others include life imprisonment.
The act was globally condemned by rights groups but the Ugandan government has maintained the ground.
The Archbishop is on a five days visit to different parts of the Nebbi Church of Uganda.
