The ticked-off students who are appealing for the intervention of the Nebbi Municipal education department revealed that they have tried all possible ways but there has been no clear communication from the school administration.

More than thirty Students are wondering why only their 2013 lot is affected yet others are not.

Rogers Taikundra, one of the students said even it was a challenge to get their result slips at the school.

He said he had wasted much of his time traveling long distances to the school to collect his UNEB certificate but the school administration doesn’t give a clear view.

” We have traveled several times to the school with colleagues to get our certificates but nothing has yielded, we are planning to sue the school,” He told whispereyenews.com

Another former student Felix Ogenrwoth  said  several efforts to get their certificates were to no avail.

“Why is it that only certificates of the 2013 lot are missing, we need certificates to access higher institutions of learning, Jobs amongst others,” He Said.

A student who never revealed his name noted that he is in shock about the incident adding that the school administration has gone mute about the matter yet they have been pushing for a long.

The students believe their certificates went missing in the school in 2014 after it was brought back from UNEB offices. However, the claim was not independently verified.

Getting comments from Nebbi Town SS deputy Headteacher Philip Okumu proved futile as he received the call but later declined to speak saying he was busy in class.

“Yes pliz, I’m busy in class, yeah.”, Okumu said.

The secretary of social services at Nebbi Municipality Nabil Saidi when contacted immediately rushed to Nebbi town secondary school to ascertain facts.

The Nebbi Town SS then Head teacher Jimmy clit Cemarun told the current school administrators that the certificates were picked from UNEB offices  by Collins Mananu, The former  Nebbi SS staff who never returned the certificates to the school according to the statement the current school administration tabled before the  Nebbi Municipal social services committee headed by Saidi Nabil.

He added that the issue of certificates is a serious matter that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

“After getting some information about the certificates, I went to the school to make an inquiry. The deputy headteacher said the certificates went missing when they were not in the school and the school is struggling to come out with a clear statement”, Said Saidi before adding that together with the Nebbi Municipal education department, they are going to ensure that the issue is sorted amicably without escalating.

The Nebbi Municipal education officer Innocent Openjtho urged the students to lodge the complaints formally to the municipal education department.

He blamed people for making consultations in the wrong place.

“We are now interesting ourselves into the issue of the missing certificates. We call upon the students and parents to come to our office and lodge their complaints formally .some times they go to the District Education department about  the issue that should be handled by the municipal education department.” He said.
