Shamim Malende was poisoned, says Alex Mufumbiro

The National Unity Platform Deputy Spokesperson Mr. Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro has come out to allege that the Kampala Woman MP Hon Shamim Malende was poisoned. #WhisperEyeNews

Malende speedily fell ill and was rushed to Rubaga Hospital where her condition worsened from forcing her family to airlift her to Nairobi for further treatment.

Malende is currently receiving treatment from at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi but as of yesterday evening, this media learned that her condition worsened further forcing the doctors to take her into the ICU.

“Poisoning is a coward’s weapon, fight on Honorable, all peace-loving Ugandans are praying for your recovery
Get well soon.” Mufumbiro posted on Twitter.

Malende is a NUP lawyer who has on many occasions offered legal services to political prisoners with her and Lord Mayor Lukwago being the lawyers of the incarcerated MPs Hon Ssegirinya Mohammed and Allan Ssewanyana.
