The Police at Mbarara Central Police Station have today recovered an abandoned pistol Number UG IND B025407-03587 with 13 rounds of ammunition.
Rwizi Regional Police Spokesman Samson Kasasira told journalists today that the pistol was recovered along the Mbarara – Kabale road next to the Mbarara University of Science and Technology main gate.
Kasasira said that the Pistol belonged to Ssemugenyi Julius a businessman and resident of Karora cell Rugando subcounty Rwampara district.
The owner confirmed and claimed that he was waylaid by unknown assailants last night.
