NUP’s David Lewis Rubogonya released by Police, as supporters staged protests in Kamwokya

Police has released the secretary general of the National Unity Platform Mr. David Lewis Rubogonya.#WhisperEyeNews

Mr. Lewis was arrested by Wandengeya traffic police on allegations that a complaint had been lodged at Nateete police station over his Car.

In the company of his driver known as Agaba, Mr. Lewis was first released and later rearrested as he had gone to check on his driver which police had detained.

We are free at last” David Lewis Rubongoya” confirmed the news of his release.

A group of young men had started mobilizing to protest around Kamwokya the home of the National Unity Platform calling for the immediate release of their leader.

One of the placards stated ” Secretary-General Lewis Lubonyogya is a freedom fighter not a threat, Dictator must fall!

By press time police was yet to react to our continuous inquiries on why they had arrested Mr. David Lewis a Harvard law graduate.
