News reaching Whisper Eye News confirms that Hon Moses Okot Bitek has been arrested

The Kyoga county MP was picked up by security forces believed to be from CMI.

He was arrested in the evening and whisked away to an unknown destination.

Forum for Democratic change confirmed the arrest of its Member of Parliament,

It said ” We have received reports that Hon. Moses Okot Bitek our Member of Parliament for Kyoga county has been arrested by CMI in Kampala this evening” .

“The NRM military regime continues its habit of, torturing, killing and unlawfully arresting and imprisoning our people”!, FDC added.

It should be remembered that Moses fell victim to the regime’s brutality in 2019 when he was shot in the thigh while the Army was dispersing a public meeting in Amoltar District that was against the mistreatment of fishermen in Lake Kyoga. This is the reason he is crippled to date!, it further added.

FDC called for the immediate and unconditional release of their youthful leader.

Mr Oplot is an advocate of the high court, and no security has commented on his arrest, not even Parliament.

We shall keep you posted.
