Kizza Besigye refused to honour a bail term of the Grade One Magistrate, Siena Owomugisha who ordered Besigye to pay Shs 30m cash for his bail.

He said the decision was more political than judicial.

Accompanied by his team,Erias Lukwago today filed an application at the High Court to dislodge the bail term

According to Lukwago, they were assured by the administration of the Court that the original file will be called from Buganda Road Court and the Appeal allocated to a judge for hearing by close of business today.

Dr. Besigye expressed gratitude to all the sympathizers who had expressed willingness to contribute to the said bail money but he is strongly opposed to the idea of capitulating to such injustice, Erias said.

His resolve to fight all forms of injustice obviously remains unshaken the inconveniences he is enduring while on remand in Luzira prisons notwithstanding, he added.

Dr. Kizza Besigye stays on remand at Luzira prison pending his appeal.

He was arrested this week on Tuesday after protesting against rising commodity prices.
