URA FC secures first win of the season after beating SC villla in Ndejje. Whisper Eye Reports

It has taken ten years now since Villa last had a win against URA. Like it has always been in the past decade, its either a URA win or at worst a draw. This season, URA didnt have a win until today when they thrashed SC villa 2-1 in Ndejje in a match that looked so one decided.

The Joogos were the first to test the net following a foul in URA’s penalty box that Ndahiro eventually converting the spot kick into goal in the 6th minute.

The tax collectors didnot lose hope but rather charged up and following many threatful attacks on the Villa’s defence, the hard work eventually paid after Benjamin Nyakoojo headed in the equaliser inthe 31st minute thanks to a well delivered ball by Midfielder Sayid Kyeyune from a set piece. The first half ended 1-1

In the second half URA continued from where it had stopped by pressing the SC villa defence towards the wall. Had the game ended in a draw, SC villa Keeper Meddie Kibirige would have been the man of the match following his superb perfomance that saved Villa from conceding many goals.

However, he couldn’t save Villa forever following the too much attacks and eventually in stoppage time, winger come defender Brian Majwega delivered a perfect cross that Sayid Kyeyune headed in to secure the 3 points for the tax collectors.

After the game, the URA coach Sam Simbwa said he expected the win and thanked his players for not giving up till the final whistle was blown. Kyeyune was named man of the match after he provided an assist and eventually scored the winner.
