Former aide to National Unity Platform (NUP) president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert, Mr Tumuhairwe Denis has warned Ugandans over presidential elections.

Mr Tumuhairwe says that every elections against president Museveni is a war, and the 35-year-president is not willing to accept final results.

“Every election against dictator Museveni has always been a war,” says Mr Tumuhairwe.

“Dr Kizza Besigye suffered horrible tones of violence in the last election, even without the excuse of Covid-19,” he added.

According to Mr Tumuhairwe former primer minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi was violently stopped from accessing his supporters in Mbale in 2016, still without the excuse of Covid-19.

Dr Kizza Besigye was arrested on election day 14th February 2016.

“What is happening to Hon. Kyagulanyi is not new but has been multiplied countless times with the excuse of Covid-19 mainly because decent and agitation for change has increased among Ugandans especially the youth whom Bobi represents posing the worst threat to NRM than ever before,” Tumuhairwe explained.

“Mr Museveni has always feared his political competitors but is more infuriated this time round,” he stated.

Mr Tumuhairwe accused security organs of what happened at Kayunga during Hon Kyagulanyi’s campaign trail recently, “With these sophisticated gadgets, like that teargas explosive that exploded near Kyagulanyi, any mistake could lead to a disaster”.

“While we appreciate and pray for you, protecting yourselves is a duty of all “soldiers” at the frontline. This is a war,” Tumuhairwe stated.

Political activist Tumuhairwe asked his counterparts close to Mr Wine; Bwanika Hamza Selector Davie, Bobby William Nyanzi, Nobert Elber Ariho, Njuba Warren, Oshea to be vigilante as they keep the struggle going.
