Forum for Democratic Change Presidential candidate Hon. Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi has this morning paid a courtesy visit to Bulange – Mengo, the seat of Buganda Kingdom.

Hon. POA was accompanied by the FDC Deputy President Owek. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo, the Party Chairman Owek. Amb. Wasswa Biriggwa, Nakawa Constituency MP Hon. Michael Kabaziguruka among others and his lead delegation was received by Buganda Kingdom Ministers; Owek. Chris Bwanika the Kingdom Attorney General, Owek. Noah Kiyimba the Kingdom Spokesperson and Minister for information and cabinet affairs and Owek. Daudi Mpanga the Kingdom Protocol affairs minister.

The Katikiro (Prime Minister) of the Kingdom Owek. Charles Peter Mayiga welcomed the FDC president commonly refered to ad POA and the entire delegation .

PM Mayiga thanked the FDC delegation for prioritizing Federal System of Government in its FDC manifesto which was launched yesterday in Hoima.

He implored the FDC leadership that once it ascends to power to uphold the key 5 tenets of the kingdom that include:

  1. Protecting the Institution of the Kingdom.
  2. Federalism
  3. Securing the kingdom properties and boundaries.
  4. Foster for social – economic development of the people of Buganda and;
  5. Fostering unity.

Presidential candidate for 2021 elections Eng Patrick Oboi Amuriat assured the Kingdom of his total support to Mengo’s objectives when FDC takes power.

The Katikiro of Buganda handed over a certificate worth 2million and Kabaka birthday run kits worth 4millions to Eng. Patrick Amuriat Oboi and thanked him for the good gesture of supporting the Kingdom.

The bear footed presidentail candidate Hon. POA handed over a copy of the FDC manifesto to the Katikiro.
