Uganda Cranes to take on South Sudan in Match day 3 of the AFCON Qualifiers at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende
The cranes are to face the country’s neighbour on the North as they battle for points in the AFCON game that will be played without spectators today at 4PM EAT due to the covid 19 pandemic. The cranes come to this game are leaders in the group with four points having beaten Malawi and drawn with Burkina Faso. South Sudan are still at the bottom of the table no point having lost their two opening fixtures.
Uganda has never lost any game against South Sudan in any competition be it a friendly something that gives them hope that even today, the result will be post.
The cranes Camp is in good shape with almost all the expected and dependable stars all fit to play the game. The Cranes will be captained by the experienced shot stopper Denis Onyango who is the most capped cranes player.
Four days later, the cranes will face South Sudan in the return leg of the fixture that will be played in Nairobi since the only stadium im South Sudan ,the Juba Stadium is still undergoing renovation financed by the FIFA.
The cranes camp had suffered a blow as 3 foreign based players pulled out due to injures but the cranes coach Mckinstry says the available players will do a great job.
