Eleven presidential candidates campaign for 2021, Dr Aggrey Kiyingi misses on the ballot again. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda is just two months to the presidential ballot which is expected on 14th January, 2021.

The electoral body, Electoral Commission (EC) nominated 11 candidates who were given mandate to hunt for votes across the country.

The duly nominated candidates include; incumbent President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni who has ruled Uganda for the last 35 years, 24-year-old John Katumba and Nancy Linda Kalembe, the only female candidate in the race.

The others are former Security minister Henry Tumukunde, former army commander General Gregory Mugisha Muntu, DP president Norbert Mao, Joseph Kabuleta Kiiza, FDC president Patrick Amuriat Oboi, Music pop star Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Fred Mwesigye and  Willy Mayambala,

They have all started their campaigns to last for 63 days which on Monday 9th November, 2020. And they are to reach all 146 districts within the given days to the polls.

However the chairman for Uganda Federal Democratic Organisation (UFDO) Dr Aggrey Kiyingi missed on the presidential ballot again amidst his prior preparations and declarations.

Whisper Eye news tried to reach Dr Aggrey Kiyingi through the UFDO website but he did not clearly explain why he missed on the ballot.

“I’m studying the situation and will make a formal announcement in the near future,” says Dr Kiyingi.

The senior Cardiologist did not explain clearly why he was not nominated and many Ugandans had picked interest in his presidential candidature.

There is controversy over Covid-19 SOPs as many opposition candidates are denied to hold public political rallies.

The Ugandan revised guidelines from ministry of health allows a political gathering of only less than 300 people, which is tricky to achieve given the nature of political campaigns in Uganda.
