2021 Race: Ecological Party of Uganda nominates 6 MPs and dozens of local council leaders a cross the country. Whisper Eye Reports.

Uganda has a number of politcal parties numbering 39 a head of 2021 elections.

Uganda goes to polls after a successful nominations week of all candidates for members of parliament and local councils from various political line.

It’s only now left with the presidency slot which is more likely to stir the political temperatures since it’s the highest politcal office in Uganda.

Ecological Party of Uganda which was founded in 2005 has this time been able to parade a team to win a political office in the coming elections.

Whisper Eye has learnt that EPU , Ecological Party of Uganda has 6 Members of parliament aspirants and 9 local council leaders across the country.

The nominated candidates include ;
1. Robinah Nanyunja – MP Kawempe North
2. Nathan Gahungu J.M – MP Kawempe South
3. Nassolo Irene – MP Busiro East
4. Abedichan Mercy Rebecca, Woman MP Nebbi District.
5. Kawanguzi Sowedi Birali, MP Luuka South
6. Manano Claude, MP Padyere Constituency.

And the local council leaders include;

1. Iryn Amy Nandasi – Woman Councillor Kawempe South
2. Edward Sserunyigo – Mayor Nabweru
3. Ssemwogerere John – LC3 Male Youth Councillor Kawempe Division
4. Nassaazi Irene – LC3 Councillor Naluvule
5. Kagudde Ivan – LC5 Councillor Wakiso District
6. Senfuka Sam Mpoza – Lord Councillor Makindye West 4
7. Sanyu Sarah – LC3 Woman Councillors Kisalosalo
8. Thomas Kentos Bakyayita – LC3 Councillor Nangabo Kasangati Town Council
9. Mwima Herbert Mwesigwa – Councillor Jinja North.

Ecological Party of Uganda guiding principles are Ecological Wisdom, Social Justice, Participatory Democracy, Non Violence, Sustainability and Respect for Diversity.

It’s president Mr Bbale Charles is also set to stand for president .

Robinah Nanyunja  the chairperson of the Party she is who is also standing for Kawempe North MP seat.

Robinah called upon Ugandans to support Ecological Party of Uganda in these coming elections.
