NUP Ticket: NUP EC chairperson gives self Bugweri Woman MP ticket pushes competitor to join Mugisha Muntu’s ANT

NUP EC chairperson gives self Bugweri Woman MP ticket pushes competitor to join Mugisha Muntu’s ANT. Whisper Eye Reports

NUP Elections Management committee chairperson Mastulah Walukamba gives self Bugweri district Woman MP ticket without vetting.

Ms Mastulah who heads the EC committee of National Unity Platform (NUP) authoritatively awarded self the ticket and forced competitor Ms Aminah Mutesi Nalugoda to seek shelter in Gen Mugisha Muntu’s Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party.

Ms Mutesi told Whisper Eye that NUP was unfair to her, to give all powers to her competitor Ms Mastulah Walukamba over her competitors.

“In the process of deciding the flag bearer of NUP in Bugweri district woman MP, Ms Walukamba is the prosecutor, the Judge, court assessor and the counsel for both sides. Democracy has no provisions to such acts. We condemn this and all democracy seeking forces must speak against this unfairness,’ says a resident of Bugweri district.

Many people in Bugweri who think that they were mistreated unfairly in the battle for NUP card calls for Ms Walukamba’s resignation.

Last month Mr Samuel Walter Lubega Mukaaku was asked by Bobi Wine to step aside on allegations that he had a conflicting interest in Rubaga South constituency.

This was taken in good faith by opposition forces of change, however what has surprised the world is that almost all commissioners on the committee have awarded self NUP party tickets on various levels.
