Opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) strongest candidate for Kampala Lord Mayoral race singer Joseph Mayanja popularly known by his stage name Dr Jose Chameleone has revealed how Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu inspired him to join the struggle to liberate the oppressed Ugandans.

While opening up his offices located at Balintuma road, Kampala officially yesterday Mr Mayanja told the public.

“I had concentrated on my Music, but my brother Hon Kyagulanyi came to me and convinced me to join the struggle to liberate the 90% of the oppressed Ugandans,” says Mr Mayanja.

“He (Hon Kyagulanyi) called me “Joseph”, join me, Uganda needs your contribution. I’m making now close to two years ever since I joined the struggle to liberate the people of Kampala,” he added.

Music legend Mr Mayanja unveiled his campaign team headed by political general credible Samuel Walter Lubega Mukaaku.

The office launch had been planed last week but interrupted by police after using teargas and rubber bullets to disperse his supporters.
