People power envoy reports NRM government to Canadian prime minister. Whisper Eye Reports

People Power, Our Power Movement members in the diaspora are embarking on crusade to win support and sympathy from overseas by capitalising on Uganda government’s unpleasant human rights records.

The group is offering to provide substantial evidence to foreign governments about the country’s gross human rights violation.

Our scoops have learnt that through one of their envoys Christopher Matovu, a former Makerere University student who was part of the campaign team that ushered in the Makerere University People Power Guild president in 2018 and now leaving in Canada, People Power have petitioned various Canadian Government officials hopping for support and assistance.

They are aiming at plummeting what they call government’s continued target of political dissidents subjecting them to intimidation, harassment and arbitrary arrest and detention.

They are also pointing at restrictions on the rights to freedom of expression and speech, association and peaceful assembly of political opposition members, journalists, human rights defenders and students not forgetting violations of the right to housing, and the use of forced evictions that are prevalent in many districts.

However, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his National Resistance Movement Party seems to be ahead of their opponents because his foreign policy seems to be pleasing both regional and foreign governments.

Museveni has also registered various strides in the fight against AIDS
The 2021 presidential race has now been explained, after the announcement by long-time Opposition presidential candidate Kizza Besigye that he will not contest in the 2021 election as a presidential candidate, hence it will be a two-horse race between incumbent Yoweri Museveni and NUP/People Power leader Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu, better known as Bobi Wine.

Every other presidential contender and aspirant, from Rtd Lt Gen Henry Tumukunde to Byamugisha Moses, Charles Rwumushana, Joseph Kabuleta, Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu, Dr Aggrey Kiyingi and 35 more, is in single-digit national name recognition and opinion polling.

Ugandans are appealing to Western world for help to restore democratic governance in Uganda.
