President Museveni visits Ndeeba demolitioned church , calls for dialogue. Whisper Eye Reports.

Uganda president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called condemned the those demolished historical Ndeeba church arguing that dialogue was the best way to solve the conundrum.

The Present passed by the site of the demolished St. Peter’s Church of Uganda, Ndeeba in Rubaga Divosion.

“On my way to work this morning, I passed by the site of St Peter’s Church in Ndeeba that was recently demolished by unscrupulous people,” says the President.

“I am saddened by this incident and I give the church assurances that those complicit will be punished. Even if the church was in the wrong, ordering demolition was extreme. Dialogue would have resolved this matter,” Mr Museveni said.

The President said that the Judges should have limits and understand public interest.

“Demolishing a church is a curse. Also, ignore reports of those claiming the government demolished the church”, Mr Museveni stated.

Mr Museveni said he is to invite the Namirembe Diocese Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, and engage with all parties involved in this conflict to find a lasting solution.

He has promised the Church of Uganda that, the Ndeeba Church “will retain this land and we shall build a new church. I have now joined this war,” President Museveni said.

St. Peter’s Church of Uganda, Ndeeba was demolished on Monday in the wee hours by court bailiffs after a prolonged legal battle which the Church lost.
