President Museveni meets United Nations Population Fund representative to Uganda Mr Alain Sibenaler .
Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday met the country representative of United Nations Population Fund Mr Alain Sibenaler at State House Entebbe to discuss about the world population day marked today.
Mr Sibenaler was accompanied by other officials of the population secretariat.
This years celebrations are remarked in a scientific way due to Covid-19 pandemic lock down, under the them “Leveraging Uganda’s Population Dynamic for a resilient future amidst Covid-19”.
Mr Museveni said that there is a need for the government to facilitate the process of creating more productive, skilled, middle class population.
” The concerns in regard to the quality and quantity of our population, having been exacerbated the Covid-19 pandemic, only strengthen the need for governments to facilitate the process of creating a more productive, skilled, middle class as opposed to a consuming one, said President Museveni.”

Leveraging Uganda’s Population Dynamics for a resilient future amidst Covid-19″, will air on TV, I thank you, Mr Museveni said. “
