Mr Mayanja yesterday picked Expression Of Interest (EOI) Forms from People Power, Our Power Movement headquarters at Kamwokya, a Kampala suburb.

The Deputy Elections Management Committee Mr Samuel Walter Lubega Mukaaku handed over the EOI forms to Mr Mayanja, as the first candidate to pick forms for the Kampala Lord Mayoral race from People Power, Our Power Movement.

Mr Mayanja told Ugandans that he is committed to contribute to the peaceful change of the government in Uganda as inspired by his long time friend Mr Bobi Wine, the Kyadondo East MP.

‘I was inspired by Mr Wine, and i joined People Power Movement after I meet President Bobi Wine and he asked to do so,’ says Mr Mayanja.

“No doubt I’m a member of the Democratic Party (DP) , who believes in Peoples power. I will not betray this struggle. Join me we liberate Kampala too, he said.”

Mr Mukaaku explained to Dr Jose Chameleon the criteria they are to use, to have one candidate in each position.

However, if on any other candidate picks EOI forms for the Kampala Lord Mayoral post, Mr Mayanja will be declared unopposed.
