Exclusive: URSB Human Resource Director Godfrey Tumwesigye resigns amidst tribalism sentiments . Whisper Eye Reports.
Whisper Eye has learnt that another senior official at Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) the Human Resource Director Mr Godfrey Tumwesigye has quit the agency.
A trusted reliable source has intimated to Whisper Eye that Mr Godfrey threw in the towel after finding life had at the agency just after another prominent figure Ms Fiona Bayiga the former director also left miserably .
The resignation of Tumwesigye comes after a rift at the Uganda Registration Service Bureau which our reporters link to the growing tribalism among the senior workers at the agency.
A source close to Tumwesigye indicate that a decision was reached to make life hard for the experienced man with URSB and after assessing the situation he had to quit.
According to the letter secretly seen by our scoops he was being told to do unprofessional things and he also found out that most staff at the agency are under qualified.
By the press time the agency was yet to make this public .
Mr Godfrey Tumwesigye was the Director of Human Resources and Administration at Uganda Registration Services Bureau.
He has a wealth of experience (27 years) in human resource management, public administration, consultancy and university lectureship.
Godfrey was the pioneer Director of Human Resources at Kyambogo University where he introduced a results-oriented management approach, a robust performance management system, streamlined payroll management and coordinated the recruitment of more than 300 employees including members of top management such as Deputy Vice Chancellors, University Secretary, Director Planning etc.
Mr Tumwesigye was also a Human Resource and Administration Manager at Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation, where he was responsible for the entire spectrum of HR and administration functions.
Godfrey holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA, HRM major) from Makerere University, a postgraduate Diploma in Business Management of Uganda Management Institute (UMI), a postgraduate diploma in education (MUK) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science (MUK).
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is a semi-autonomous government agency, established by Act of Parliament 1998 in Uganda.
URSB is responsible for civil registrations (including marriages and divorces but not including births, adoptions, or deaths), business registrations (setups and liquidations), registration of patents and intellectual property rights, and any other registrations required by law.
