Bobi Wine condemns the arrest of his aide Roy Ssemboga. Whisper Eye Reports

Uganda Presidentual aspirant, also the Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu has condemned the arrested of his personal assistant Roy Ssembogga.

Mr Ssemboga is the People Power, Our Power coordinator for all higher institutions of learning and universities.

Ssembogga was arrested yesterday alongside eight other youth leaders.

Whisper Eye has been reliably informed that they were found around Mulago, in a home, having a chat and taken to the police.

‘Roy was later driven to Kampala CPS where he is still being held,’ says Mr Wine.

“The regime has clearly embarked on a mission to arrest so many of our comrades on a daily basis, in order to intimidate them and break our resolve, he added.”

Mr Wine told Whisper Eye News that it is bad for the police, whatever they do to his People Power Movement only strengthens them more and justifies more reason to fight on.

“Several of our leaders have visited them comrades and their resolve in unfazed. Our legal team is following up to see that they get out of illegal detention, MP Kyagulanyi said.”

People Power Lawyer Ms Shamim Malende confirmed to Whisper Eye, that Mr Ssembogga is still in detention pending efforts to rescue him.

Roy Ssembogga declared his interest to contest for Kawempe South parliamentary seat against incumbent Munyagwa Mubarak, Uganda Journalist President (UJA)/president Haji Kazibwe Bashiru Mbaziira among others.
