The Members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Central Executive Committee (CEC) have failed to reach on a agreement to use a scientific elections method in their party primaries.

Last week the CEC met NRM National chairman Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and discussed how to conduct Party primaries.

However, Whisper Eye has been reliably informed that the CEC failed to agree on the new proposed scientific process.

‘The Party Membership and the entire Public is hereby informed that the Central Executive Committee (CEC) convened again this Saturday under the Chairmanship of H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,’ says the senior manager of information at NRM secretariat Mr Rogers Mulindwa.

“Discussion of the Party Road Map was key on the agenda and given the importance of this item, more consultations and discussions will continue, he said.”

Information, Communication and Public Relations senior manager Mr Rogers Mulindwa has confirmed to us that the CEC are to meet on Wednesday to take a decision.

“The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday next week,’ says Mr Mulindwa.

CEC had proposed to have the popular adult suffrage to all Party members.

Where voters where to line up behind the candidate or his representative to avoid vote rigging and ballot printing which were common in NRM party primaries.
