Opposition welcomes Sula Kidandala appointment as People power chairman for mobilisation & coordination. Whisper Eye Reports.
National Organising Secretary of the Democratic Party (DP) Sulaiman Kidandala Sserwadda was appointed to head the People Power Movement National Coordination and Mobilisation Committee by Hon Kyagulanyi.
People Power Principal also Kyadondo East Legislator hon Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine early this week made created two strong committees to prepare for 2021 presidential elections.
Appointing Mr Kindandala to head the mobilisation committee, is a move welcomed by senior politicians in Uganda.
Dr Kawanga Paul Ssemwogerere highlighted Mr Kidandala’s experience in structure formation and building as a positive move by Mr Wine’s plan to mobilise the entire country.
‘Kidandala has contacts across the entire country. He has been tested for some time under Uganda Young Democrats (UYD),’ says Dr Ssemwogerere.
“He can help hon Kyagulanyi to have dependable representatives from far upcountry areas, Dr Ssemwogerere adds.”
DP party members have welcomed Kidandala’s appointment arguing that he is a royal, hardworking and determined leader, with wide range of experience.
Mr Kidandala has been actively involved in UYD politics for the last 15years, former Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy lord Mayor.
