Mukono municipality MP Betty Nambooze Bakireke has reacted on Ashburg Kato’s hate propaganda during his good days in People Power Movement close to Bobi Wine.

MP Nambooze said that Ashraf Kato popularly known as Ashburg Kato played a big role to create a distance between Mr Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine right way during the Kyadondo East by elections.

‘ I remember one day when Ashburg recorded a video castigating Me, Lord Mayor Lukwago and Dr Kiiza Besigye and declaring us the number one enemies of the struggle and calling upon people to lynch us….,’ says MP Nambooze.

“I knew and said it many times that these people’s mission was to create enemity between the People Power Principal hon Kyagulanyi and us….,” She added.

“It is Ashburg who first branded our defiance activities ‘Comedy’ a term that was picked by many people especially here on Facebook and used widely to demonise us.” Hon Nambooze explains.

Democratic Party (DP) vice president in Buganda region MP Nambooze has accused the newly recruited NRM member Ashburg Kato to circulate false rumors during the Kyadondo East by election with an intention of slowing the big struggle.

‘It is this Ashburg who spread lies against me that I had demanded money that was at first 5 millions, which later became 10 Millions and recently 20 Millions in order to be part of the Kyadondo East Byelections,’ states MP Nambooze.

“It gets so sad to face horrible things from the Dictator and then get persecuted by people claiming to be for change. The mission was to wage a hate campaign against us, she explains.”

‘And in a way the actions of these people affected the struggle and took it some steps backward. However we shall overcome as the agents of satan have started getting out one by one, the MP said’

Ashburg Kato early this week declared officially as a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) turning guns against his former boss Mr Wine.
