Coronavirus: Private cars will start moving on the 26th May, Museveni says

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has confirmed that private cars will be allowed to move on the 26th May 2020. Whisper Eye Reports.

This had caused confusion in the public with many wondering if they could drive with their masks.

However the joint security task force earlier said private car owners will have to wait for two more weeks before being allowed back on road.

The president noted provided there are not more than three people in the car. Public transport should be relaxed on June 4th, 2020.

Hotels and shops selling general merchandise start operating on May 26th, 2020. Let us use this one week to explain and prepare to give masks, he noted.

The government will provide standard masks to all Ugandans aged 6 years and above, these will be distributed through the District Local Council system.

Each person will be allocated one mask which must be worn all the time when in public.

This was all confirmed by president Museveni Monday address.
