Suspended Masaka DP leader blasts Mbidde , hires top lawyers to defend self

Masaka district Democratic Party (DP) Organising Secretary Kateregga Innocent has blasted EALA MP Fred Denis Mukasa Mbidde over Suspension.

Mr Kateregga told Whisper Eye that Mr Mbidde who is the Vice President of the Democratic Party and Masaka district Party chairman has no powers to suspend him.

On Monday Mr Mbidde chaired a meeting which Suspend Mr Kateregga and Mr Kasirye Joseph the district party secretary.

“I’m the Organising secretary of DP in Masaka district,” says Mr Kateregga.

“Mbidde has no powers to suspend me. Its unfortunately that currently I’m in US, for study purposes.” He added.

DP wrangles in Masaka have taken a new twist as Mr Mbidde battles hon Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, the Municipality legislator.

Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) Masaka sub-region chairman Kateregga has instructed his Lawyers to defend what he called unlawful suspension.

“I’m considering instructing my learned counsels Medard Ssegona, and Katumba Chrisestom to handle the matter in my absence.” Mr Kateregga said.

MP Mbidde said that Mr Kateregga and Kasirye were suspended by the Party’s district committee and must appear in the Disciplinary Committee to defend them self.

Although the cause of the suspension was not clear.
