NRM woman delegate who was knocked while from NRM conference dead.
Kabong National Resistance Movement (NRM) finance secretary for the Women League Ms Mary Lokel has passed away today at Nsambya Hospital, in Kampala.
According to the NRM Secretariat Ms Mary Lokel, 62 died today in the afternoon.
Ms Lokel was among the delegates that attended the recently concluded National Conference in Namboole.
“On her way from Namboole, she was knocked down by a speeding boda-boda in Nakawa,” says Rogers Mulindwa Information, Communication and Public Relations Senior manager, NRM.
“Lokel was crossing the road to pick a taxi to Luzira where she was heading to spend a night at her daughter’s home one Stella Lokel.” He added.
Mr Mulindwa told Whisper Eye that Lokel has since Saturday been in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) until she took her last breathe this afternoon.
“The NRM Secretaty General Rt. Hon. Justine Kasule Lumumba was in Nsambya Hospital to check on her yesterday.” Mr Mulindwa stated.
