Hon. Judith Mary Amoit Mourns Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka, Hails His Patriotism

Former Woman MP for Pallisa District, Hon. Judith Mary Amoit, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka, the Director General of the Internal Security Organization (ISO). Speaking during the requiem mass at St. Padre Pio Catholic Church in Bwebajja, Wakiso District, Amoit described the late General as a patriotic, hardworking, and loyal servant of Uganda.

She emphasized that the people of Teso and the country at large have lost a great leader whose contribution to national security was invaluable. According to Amoit, Brig. Gen. Oluka played a crucial role in strengthening Uganda’s intelligence operations, making the country safer.

In her tribute, Amoit commended President Yoweri Museveni for appointing Brig. Gen. Oluka as the head of ISO, saying he had been the right man for the job. She noted that Oluka executed his duties with diligence and unwavering commitment to the nation.

“The late General was a true patriot who loved his country and his home area. He was not just a security officer but also a leader who always sought to uplift his people,” Amoit said.

She further praised his efforts in helping many people in his home region, noting that he remained connected to his roots despite holding a high-ranking position in the government.

Amoit also addressed ongoing social media claims suggesting that Brig. Gen. Oluka had accumulated wealth through dubious means. She strongly dismissed these accusations, stating that Oluka was a hardworking officer who earned his achievements through honest service and dedication.

“It is unfortunate that some people are spreading lies about a man who dedicated his life to protecting this country. Brig. Gen. Oluka was a hardworking officer who earned his achievements through sacrifice and commitment, not through dishonest means,” she emphasized.

The passing of Brig. Gen. Oluka has left the people of Teso in deep grief, with many mourning the loss of their beloved son. Amoit acknowledged the pain and sorrow that has engulfed the region, describing his death as a major loss not only for Teso but for Uganda as a whole.

“As Teso, we are mourning the loss of a great leader, a man who always had the interests of his people at heart. His contributions to the nation and to our region will never be forgotten,” she concluded.

Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka leaves behind a legacy of patriotism, resilience, and dedicated service to his country. As Uganda bids farewell to this fallen hero, his contributions to national security and development remain a testament to his unwavering commitment to the nation.
