Crossroads: FDC reconsider fronting Kampala Lord Mayor Lukwago as a presidential candidate in 2021. Whisper Eye Reports

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) top officials are reconsidering fronting Kampala Lord Mayor haji Ssalongo Erias Lukwago as presidential candidate on the 2021 general elections.

Privy sources close to Kasangati, told Whisper Eye news that FDC founder Rtd Col Dr Kiiza Besigye Kifeefe summoned a meeting to discuss about party presidential candidate after Kampala lawyer Male Hassan Mabirizi Kassim Kiwanuka instituted criminal proceedings against
NUP party president Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu.

In a meeting that lasted for solid four hours, Dr Besigye promised to sponsor Haji Lukwago presidential campaigns.

According to our reliable sources FDC presidential candidates Ambassador Biriggwa and FDC president Patrick Oboi Amuriat presidential candidatures have failed to capture attention in the country.

However when Whisper Eye reached out to Mr Lukwago denied reports of contesting for Uganda presidency in 2021.

Signs are despite of the fact that Haji Lukwago is faced with a strong opponent Mr Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Dr Jose Chameleone, he is ready to risk losing his Lord Mayoral seat to Mr Mayanja.
