Consumer Business Awards 2025 Officially Launched at Sheraton Kampala

Kampala, Uganda April 25, 2025

The prestigious Consumer Business Awards 2025 have officially been launched at an elegant ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. The event marks a star mark recognition program that seeks to honour businesses across Uganda for their outstanding performance, innovation, and customer-centric services.

Organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, the awards aim to highlight and reward companies that have demonstrated exceptional excellence in their respective industries. According to Ms. Agnes Alowo, the Chief of Operations at Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, the awards are designed not only to celebrate top-performing companies but also to provide a platform for businesses to receive direct consumer feedback.

“These awards are open to all companies regardless of their size or industry. Winners will be selected based on direct consumer feedback and independent research,” Ms. Alowo stated during the launch. “We are excited to launch the Consumer Business Awards to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses in Uganda.” she added

To ensure transparency and credibility, the entire evaluation process will be authenticated by an independent professional auditing firm. This will provide quality assurance and maintain the integrity of the awards.

The awards will feature several categories including Manufacturing & Industry, Foods & Beverages, Agriculture & Agro Inputs, Transport & Logistics and many more sectors

Consumers across the country will have the power to vote for their preferred companies through an online platform. Voting officially opens today, April 25, and will run until May 31, 2025. Votes can be submitted via the official website: www.consumerbusinessawards.com or through the organization’s social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.

Winners will be unveiled at a prestigious awards gala scheduled for August 2025, with the exact date and venue to be announced in due course. The event promises to be a major highlight on Uganda’s business calendar, celebrating resilience, creativity, and consumer satisfaction.

The launch ceremony attracted a diverse range of businesses and stakeholders, all showing enthusiasm for the initiative. Companies in attendance included Eye Care Centre Uganda, Bakayima Real Estate, Sumz, Health Shuya, Express Tyres, Tembo Steels,Sky World Tours and Travel, Ex Energy ad several others

Many of the participating businesses commended the awards program, describing it as a timely initiative that will not only boost customer engagement but also encourage continuous improvement in service delivery and product quality.
