Capt. Mike Mukula Leads Eastern Region MPs in Pivotal Conference to Shape Regional Agenda

The Eastern Region Parliamentary Caucus is set to convene for a one-day symposium at Hotel Africana, bringing together 141 Members of Parliament to strategize and set a transformative regional agenda.

The high-profile conference, announced by Capt. Mike Mukula, the NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda, will feature multi-sectoral engagements with top national leaders, including Vice President Jessica Alupo, Speaker of Parliament Anita Among, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka, and ministers of key sectors such as Finance, Health, and Agriculture.

This strategic dialogue aims to align Eastern Uganda’s development priorities with the national agenda, fostering collaboration between MPs and government technocrats. Following the conference, the leaders will embark on a regional tour, beginning in Busoga, to assess progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions tailored to the region’s needs.

According to Capt. Mukula, this initiative marks a critical step in ensuring Eastern Uganda’s voice is amplified in national decision-making. “We are shaping the agenda,” he emphasized, signaling a renewed commitment to development, service delivery, and regional empowerment.

As the Eastern Region takes center stage in this dialogue, all eyes will be on how these deliberations translate into tangible action for the people.
