On February 23, 2025, the Kampala Serena Hotel hosted the National Quran Competition, a prestigious event organized by the Iraji Foundation in collaboration with Biggie Events. The competition aimed to promote Islamic knowledge and excellence by bringing together participants from across Uganda to showcase their Quranic recitation and memorization skills.
The highlight of the evening was the awarding of brand-new vehicles to the grand winners, Suhail Adam and Nankinga Shamirah. These generous prizes were provided by Success Motors Uganda, a leading automobile dealership committed to supporting community initiatives. Representatives from Success Motors were present to personally hand over the keys to the delighted winners.
The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Omulangira Kassim Nakibinge, the 2nd Deputy Katikkiro of Buganda, Hajj Twaha Kawaase Kigongo, the Supreme Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi, Counsel Yusuf Usaama of the Good Money Fraternity, and Hajjati Hadijah Namyala of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC). Their presence underscored the significance of the competition in fostering unity and a deeper understanding of the Quran among Muslims in Uganda.
In addition to the vehicles, participants received various gifts from the organizers, further encouraging the pursuit of Islamic scholarship and excellence. The success of this event highlights the collaborative efforts of organizations like the Iraji Foundation, Biggie Events, and Success Motors in promoting religious education and community development.
