SC VILLA Presents League Trophy to their sponsors LingLong in Grand Ceremony

Kampala, 18th January 2025

In a moment of celebration and gratitude, SC Villa, Uganda’s most decorated football club, officially presented the league trophy they clinched last season to their esteemed sponsor, LingLong. The event, held in Kampala, was graced by LingLong President, Mr. Wuang, alongside key stakeholders, players, and fans of SC Villa.

The 17-time Ugandan Premier League champions, led by their CEO, Engineer William Nkemba, expressed heartfelt gratitude to LingLong for their unwavering support. Engineer Nkemba lauded LingLong’s decision to sponsor SC Villa, calling it a testament to the club’s legacy and potential. “LingLong’s sponsorship is not only a vote of confidence in SC Villa but also a morale booster that fuels our aspirations for greater success. We are honored to be the only African club they’ve chosen to partner with,” he remarked.

The players, through their captains, echoed similar sentiments. They praised LingLong for standing with the club and pledged to reward the company’s faith with more victories and trophies in the future. “This partnership inspires us to aim higher, and we promise to keep delivering on and off the pitch,” said one of the team captains during the ceremony.

In his address, Mr. Wuang shared a personal connection to sports, recounting how, as a child, he had dreams of becoming an athlete and was a devoted fan of basketball legend Michael Jordan. He expressed pride in associating LingLong with SC Villa, alongside European giants Chelsea and Real Madrid. “Villa is the only club in Africa that we currently sponsor, and this partnership reflects our belief in their capabilities and steadfast performance over the years,” he said.

Mr. Wuang further pledged continued support to SC Villa, tying it to their performance. “We will reward every level of progress the team makes, with each milestone unlocking new benefits. LingLong is committed to growing with SC Villa and being part of their journey to reclaim even greater glory,” he added.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Hajji Mandela, the club’s CEO, and other club officials, fans, and supporters who cheered on their beloved team. It was a festive atmosphere, symbolizing the unity and ambition that SC Villa embodies.

With such a strong partnership between SC Villa and LingLong, the club’s future looks brighter than ever, as they aim to remain a dominant force in Ugandan and African football.
