The handler  of a canine alongside  a team of other police officers were seen combing  different parts of Paidha town council, Zombo district, to track the suspected. thieves

Many people  including local leaders and passerbys  were  tongue-tied and  taken aback by the attention-grabbing information, regarding the theft of the motorcycle at the heavily guarded Police station.

A deep throat source from Paidha central Police station told this publication briefly that ” some thieves stole a motorcycle here and everyone is surprised, that’s why you see that canine here”

Surprisingly, in its first attempt, the canine led the team to the premises of Paidha town council, a stone throw from Paidha central Police station heading towards the DISO’s office, and subsequently leading them towards Offaka road.

The canine upon moving around the expansive compound of Paidha town council got ill-stared , and led the team out of the government premises.

In it’s continued  pursuit , the canine restlessly ahead of  its handler, brisk walked the team through streets and corridors in an attempt to snif the suspects but to no avail.

Hundreds of town dwellers who stood stunned, amazingly looked at the dog that later made a  stopover at a  motorcycle repair garage at Ofaka road, central Ward Paidha town council. It’s  attempt   to comb the area was met by mix reactions by members of the public.

One of the passerbys was heard saying ” this is the dog that was misleading people in Nebbi”

A few minutes later, the Police team led the canine into a police patrol car, with no tangible gains made.

By press time, Police had cordoned off the route that passes next to the Central Police station, from the direction of  Christ the King Catholic Church. An armed officer was seen manning security there in.

A resident of Mvuli cell, who preferred anonymity said” we are told some people stole motorcycle at Paidha central Police station, that is why the road is cordoned off”

The District Police Commander of Zombo Nelson Nahabwe was unavailable by press time.

Last week, a highly placed district  security personnel said , a bunch of keys for some district vehicles was reportedly stollen at Paidha central Police station. Their has been thinly-sliced information about the incident and this publication is yet to verify the claim.

Sources alleged the stollen motorcycle could have crossed to DR.Congo via numerous porous borders.
