Police in-charge  logistics dies after battling  diabetic ulcer and hypertension for 26 years

Assistant superintendent of police  ( ASP)James  Jaker-nga , who was an officer in charge under the directorate of logistics and engineering has been laid to rest after battling diabetic ulcer and hypertension for 26 years.

Jaker-nga who was laid to rest on October 1, 2024 in his ancestral home in  Imme village, Pakadha Parish, Abanga Sub-county, Zombo district joined  Police force  in 1989 and succumbed to blood clot at Kibuli Hospital on September 26.

According to Jaker-Nga’s children, their father died of a blood clot ” a medical report from Kibuli hospital”

Police fired 18 ammunitions in honor of late Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) James  Jaker-Nga,  during his burial at Imme village.

Hundreds gathered  at Pakadha Primary School playground where prayers was held ,  to mourn the deceased, that many people described as an entrepreneur and a patriot who had love for his locality.

Assistant Commissioner of police Warren Mugwizi , who represented Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba at the burial, said Jaker-Nga served in various capacities,  adding that he died when serving as in charge of logistics and engineering.

He also described the deceased as a ” skilled officer whose legacy shall not be forgotten”

Superintendent of Police Nelson Nahabwe, the DPC Zombo district implored the young people to embrace education to join the police force.

Late Jaker-Nga was born in 1969, joined police force in 1989 after completing Uganda Certificate of Education at Erusi ss in Nebbi district and subsequently rose to the rank of AIP.

Meanwhile several locals of Pakadha including LCIII Chairman Abanga sub-county eulogized the Jaker-Nga as an  advocate and defender of institutional properties like Church land, government school and health Centre lands amongst others.

The LCV Chairperson of Zombo in his message read by Hassan Ringtho, the council speaker of Zombo appealed for special consideration in recruitment of police officers from the region, given the deceased dedicated work.

Background 

Jaker-Nga joined police force in 1989. In 2004, he went for fresher training course in Masindi. In 2008, he went for fresher training and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. In 2010, he was promoted to AIP and in 2016, he was promoted to Assistant Superitendant of police(AIP) General Duties, a post he held up to the time of his demise.
