Pres. Museveni Sends Condolence Message to his Deputy PPS After Losing Wife to accident

President Yoweri Kaguta has condoled with Hajji Faruk Kirunda following the death of his wife, Ms. Gladys Aliyinza.

Hajji Kirunda is the Deputy Press Secretary to H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda.
Ms. Aliyinza famously known as Maama Mandela died on 27th June, 2024 after being involved in a fatal motor accident in Luuka.

In a telephone call to Hajji Kirunda, President Museveni expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and also informed him that he stands with them in this trying moment.

There was a vigil at Hajji Kirunda’s home in Ntawo, Mukono and it was attended by among others, the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Rt.Hon Rukia Nakadama, Senior Presidential Advisor on Security and Defence, Gen. Proscovia Nalweyiso and Pastor Aloysius Bugingo.

Ms. Aliyinza was laid on 30th June, 2024 at Lambala village, Irongo subcounty, Luuka District.

Ms. Aliyinza contested as Woman MP for Luuka district in 2021 but never won the seat.
